Family-to-Family Ministry

Our Family-to-Family Ministry is an outreach to struggling families in our community who are committed to improving their lives. CIAN’s Family Mentors are matched with local families and walk alongside them in this journey of restoration, offering guidance, support, and encouragement. As a mentor, you start the journey of mentoring another family, creating a bond of trust and hope that can make a significant difference in their lives.

There are several ways for you and your family to plug in and serve the Family-to-Family Ministry (FFM):

General Volunteer: Assist with the Thursday afternoon bi-weekly blessings, which involve distributing food and drinks.

Logistics Volunteer: Help with the loading and unloading of the blessings provided by our partners.

Family Partner: Engage in bi-weekly phone contact with specific families or individuals in the ministry who have not yet been “matched” with a Mentor.

Mentor: Build a relationship with a specific family or individual in the ministry, helping them mend broken relationships and providing non-monetary support to alleviate their poverty status. You will walk through life with them, supported by training and assistance from both the FFM and our team.

Your involvement in these roles not only impacts the lives of the families we serve but also enriches your own family’s experience, fostering a spirit of compassion and community.
