Feeding program

Active

Hunger is often the first need people bring to a church. Our feeding program shares food with individuals and families, and helps them find food they can count on.

Get food

  • Write to us with the topic Food. We will reply with the next time and place food is shared.

    Ask for food
  • Need food today? Dial 2-1-1 or call 1-877-541-7905. 211 Texas answers 24 hours a day and can tell you where to find food near you.

  • In the Houston area, the Houston Food Bank’s Find Food map lists pantries and meal sites by ZIP code.

What we do

  • Groceries for individuals and families to take home.
  • Shared meals, where volunteers sit and eat with the people they serve.
  • Emergency food for households in crisis.
  • Help applying for SNAP food benefits, and referrals to food pantries nearby.

Why we do it

Jesus fed hungry crowds and told his disciples to do the same. A meal is also where many friendships begin. We share food freely and ask no questions about faith.

“You give them something to eat.”

Mark 6:37ESV

How we do it

  1. Ask

Write to us with the topic Food. Tell us your area and the best way to reach you.

  2. Receive

We reply with the next time and place food is shared. If your household is in crisis, we arrange emergency food.

  3. Stay fed

If you need food often, we help you apply for SNAP and find pantries near you, so you have more than one source.

  4. Serve

Volunteers cook and serve meals and pack groceries. Anyone can help.
